2 tsp. ground cumin

4 c. cooked chicken or turkey
6 c. chicken broth
2 medium onions, chopped
2 (4 oz.) cans green chilies
1 1/2 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. cayenne

Place beans, broth, garlic and 1 1/2 onions into soup pot. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer until beans are soft (2 to 3 hours).

Add more broth, if needed.

In a skillet, saute remaining onion and seasonings.
