1 teaspoon soda

1 c. minced raisins

1 c. minced dates

Cream sugar and Crisco.

Add in beaten Large eggs; beat well.

Combine buttermilk and jam.

Add in alternately with sifted flour and soda to creamy mix; beat well.

Add in nuts, raisins, coconut, grated apple and dates.

Stir well till all is distributed through batter.

Bake in three 9 x 1 1/2 inch pans that have been greased and floured.
