1 pound ground turkey meat
1 chicken sausage
1 chopped onion
1 chopped red bell pepper
1 seeded, stemmed, and chopped jalapeno
2 bay leaves
5 chopped cloves of garlic
1 can crushed tomatoes
2 cans kidney beans
1 bag baby spinach
Chili powder
Cumin
Brown sugar
Black pepper
Oregano
Basil
Cayenne
Juice and zest of lime
Tabasco
Grated cheddar

Cook turkey and sausage 8 minutes. Drain and remove.

Add onion, peppers, and bay leaves and cook 7 minutes.

Add garlic and cook 1 minute. Return meat to pot.

Add tomatoes, beans, spinach, and chili powder, cumin, sugar, pepper, oregano, basil, and cayenne to taste. Bring to a boil and simmer 50 mins.
