Ingredients: 1 can whole tomatoes; 1 can tomato paste; 1 can tomato sauce; 2 large onions, minced; 1 large bell pepper, minced; 3 ribs celery, minced; 5 toes garlic, minced; 1/4 fresh parsley, minced; 2 tsp. thyme; 2 tsp. basil; 2 bay leaves; 1 large serving spoonful flour; 3/4 c. oil; salt and pepper to taste

1 can whole tomatoes
1 can tomato paste
1 can tomato sauce
2 large onions, minced
1 large bell pepper, minced
3 ribs celery, minced
5 toes garlic, minced
1/4 fresh parsley, minced
2 tsp. thyme
2 tsp. basil
2 bay leaves
1 large serving spoonful flour
3/4 c. oil
salt and pepper to taste

Save tomato cans and fill with water.

In a Dutch oven, place oil and heat.

Put vegetables in and saute until clear.

Add flour to pot and fry until brown.

In a blender or food processor, put in tomato products.

When blended, put in pot and cook for about 15 minutes.

Put water from cans in pot, plus add about 1 cup more (until right consistency, not too thick or thin).

Salt and pepper to taste.

Let cook for 1 hour.
