1/2 c. chopped walnuts

In medium skillet over medium heat saute oats in butter until light brown.

Remove from heat and cool.

Sift flour, cinnamon, salt and baking soda; set aside.

In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, egg and vanilla.

Add flour mixture; stir well.

Add oats, raisins and walnuts.

Drop by spoonfuls 3 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
