Texas Brownies

   In large bowl, combine sugar and flour.

   Set aside.

   In heavy saucepan, combine butter, Crisco, coffee and cocoa.

   Stir and heat to boiling.

   Pour over flour and sugar.

   Add buttermilk, eggs, soda and vanilla.

   Mix well at high speed on mixer.

   Pour into well buttered jelly roll pan, 17 x 11-inch.

   Bake 20 minutes in 400u00b0 oven.
