Ingredients: 1 (8 1/4 oz.) can pineapple slices; 1 Tbsp. catsup; 1/8 tsp. garlic powder; 1/4 c. finely chopped onion; 1 1/2 c. Rice Chex cereal, crushed into 1/2 c. cereal; 1/2 tsp. and 1 tsp. brown sugar; 3 Tbsp. soy sauce; 1/2 tsp. marjoram leaves, crushed; 1/4 tsp. ground ginger; 1 lb. lean ground beef; 1 Tbsp. margarine

Servings: persons

1 (8 1/4 oz.) can pineapple slices
1 Tbsp. catsup
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
1 1/2 c. Rice Chex cereal, crushed into 1/2 c. cereal
1/2 tsp. and 1 tsp. brown sugar
3 Tbsp. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. marjoram leaves, crushed
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 Tbsp. margarine

Drain pineapple, reserving juice.

In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, catsup and 1 tablespoon pineapple juice.

Remove 3 tablespoons of mixture.

Set aside.

To remainder, add marjoram, garlic powder and ginger.

Blend well.

Add onion, ground beef and Chex crumbs.

Mix thoroughly.

Shape into 4 patties.

Add 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar to reserved soy sauce mixture.

Grill or broil to desired doneness, brushing with reserved sauce. Meanwhile, saute pineapple slices in remaining brown sugar and butter.
