   Boil the first 5 ingredients together until a hard ball stage (263u00b0).

   Remove from the fire.

   Add the butter and flavoring and pour into a greased pan.

   When cool enough to handle comfortably, pull the mixture until rather firm.

   Stretch out in a long rope and cut into pieces.
