1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
-
2
In a bowl, combine the ground beef, eggs, bread crumbs, salt & pepper, onion flakes , and 1/3 of the can of tomato sauce (sometimes I go ahead and put half in, but it makes the meatloaf REALLY moist, and some people dont like that).
-
3
If youre really opposed to onion flakes, you can definitely use as much real onion as you prefer!
-
4
Form into meatloaf and place into a loaf pan.
-
5
Leave room around the sides for the sauce (well make that later).
-
6
Place in oven for 40 minutes.
-
7
When the meatloaf has been in the oven around 25-30 minutes, I make the sauce.
-
8
In a saucepan, combine the remaining tomato sauce, mustard, brown sugar, sugar, and apple cider vinegar.
-
9
Mix well.
-
10
I heat it through until its just about to boil.
-
11
Mix it well.
-
12
When the meatloaf has baked for 40 minutes, pull it out.
-
13
Pour the sauce over & around the meatloaf.
-
14
(I really like the sizzle sound it makes when it hits the pan!)
-
15
Place back into the oven for 20 minutes or until cooked through.
-
16
Slice & serve!
-
17
(Once, when I was feeling really unhealthy, I placed a slice between pieces of buttered french bread, grilled it, and dipped it in the sauce.
-
18
Delicious!)
