Sweet Potato Biscuits

   Combine egg, sweet potatoes, sugar, butter and shortening in a mixing bowl; mix well.

   Stir in enough flour to make a soft dough. (Dough will be softer than regular biscuit dough.)

   Turn out on a floured surface; knead lightly a few times.

   Roll to 1/4-inch thickness; cut with a 2-inch biscuit cutter.

   Place on an ungreased baking sheet and bake at 350u00b0 for about 15 minutes. Yields about 16 biscuits.
