Swedish Nut Cake

   Cream shortening and sugar.

   Beat egg yolks and add to mixture. Sift baking powder, flour and pinch of salt together.

   Add milk and flour alternately to mixture, a little of each at a time.

   Flour nuts lightly and add to mixture.

   Beat egg whites separately and fold in carefully (do not beat).

   Bake at 350u00b0 to 375u00b0 (start at 375u00b0 and turn down to 350u00b0, 40 to 50 minutes).

   Use a good sized pan.
