Worchestershire sauce; 1/2 tsp. oregano; Italian sausage links (optional)

ground beef
5 cups tomatoes
4 Tbsp. olive oil
2 cloves chopped garlic
12 oz. tomato paste
1 cup water
3 bay leaves
2 tsp. sweet basil
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. sugar
4 sprigs parsley
1 Tbsp. Worchestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. oregano
Italian sausage links (optional)

Brown beef in oil and garlic, crain fat.

Blend tomatoes into a puree.

In a crock pot, add beef and tomato puree.

Simmer uncovered 1 hour.

Add tomato paste, water, bay leaves, sweet basil, salt, pepper, sugar, parsley, Worchestershire sauce and oregano.

Cook covered for 1 hour.

Brown Italian sausage links. Cook until done.

Add to sauce 10 - 15 minutes before serving. Serve over spaghetti noodles.
