In another bowl combine flax, flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda and mix well.

Mix one cup of the flour mixture into the creamed mixture. Add the other cup of flour mixture and then the water and mix until it's all incorporated. If you are adding optional nuts, mix them into the batter now.

Spray a loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray and pour the batter mixture into the pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 60-75 minutes until a toothpick in center comes out easily with just a few crumbs.
