Wash mushrooms.

Carefully remove the stems and set mushroom caps aside.

Prepare Stove Top stuffing per package instructions.

Chop mushroom stems.

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the margarine and stir in the diced onion and mushroom stems

Mix mushroom stems and diced onion into the stuffing. Allow to cool enough so you can work with it.

Line the bottom of a cookie sheet, to make cleaning easy.

Place the mushroom caps, upside down, on the cookie sheet. Generously stuff each cap with the mixture.

Sprinkle cheese on top.

Bake in oven for 25 - 30 minutes, until mushrooms are tender and the filling is golden brown.
