   Wash strawberries and drain well.

   Hull and slice each strawberry into several pieces.

   Place strawberries in medium-sized container and mash with potato masher until you reach the consistency you desire.

   Sprinkle with 1/4 to 1/2 cup of sugar, depending on how sweet you like the sauce.
