Ingredients: THE WET; 3/4 pound butter softened; 1/2 cup butter flavored shortening(CRISCO); 5 eggs; 1 cup whole milk; 4 tablespoons strawberry extract; 20 ounces whipped topping(any brand); 2 pounds fresh strawberries; 4 tablespoons white Rum; 3 tablespoons water; THE DRY; 4 cups sugar; 3 cups all purpose flour; 1/2 teaspoon salt; 1/2 teaspoon baking powder; 1 cup powdered sugar

THE WET
3/4 pound butter softened
1/2 cup butter flavored shortening(CRISCO)
5 eggs
1 cup whole milk
4 tablespoons strawberry extract
20 ounces whipped topping(any brand)
2 pounds fresh strawberries
4 tablespoons white Rum
3 tablespoons water
THE DRY
4 cups sugar
3 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup powdered sugar

preheat oven @ 350

in large bowl combine butter & shortening

add in sugar 1 cup at a time

add in eggs 1 at a time

in a medium bowl combine flour, baking powder, and salt(DRY MIX)

add 1 cup of dry mix into wet mix

add a 1/4 cup of milk to mixture

keep adding the dry mix and milk in this order until all gone

add 3tsp strawberry extract and 2tsp of rum

place in your favorite angel food cake pan and bake 35-45 min

in large bowl combine whipped topping and powdered sugar

slice strawberries in half & place in small bowl, sprinkle with a little sugar, cover, place in fridge

In med sauce, add 1stick of butter, 1 cup of sugar, 3tbsp water, 6 strawberries

heat on medium low, stir till well mixed

remove from heat,add remaining extract and rum, pour glaze over warm cake

(optional) repeat previous 3 steps for 2 days for the STRAWBERRY KICK

when cake has cooled. ice the sides with whipped topping mix, top with strawberries, ENJOY
