Spicy Apple Nut Squares

   Mix first 4 ingredients by hand.

   Sift together flour, salt, baking powder and cinnamon.

   Add to mixture.

   Then add apples and walnuts and/or raisins.

   Mix thoroughly.

   Grease and flour 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

   Spread mixture well into pan.

   Bake at 350u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes or until done.

   While still warm, sprinkle with powdered sugar and cut into squares.
