Spicy And Chunky Applesauce

   I use a electric steamer. If you don't have one, just make this in a heavy large nonstick saucepan.

   Add apples, water, lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, a dash of nutmeg, 1 tablespoon brown sugar and cranberries. Mix. Cook for about 45 minutes or till chunky and tender but not mushy.

   Add the remaining brown sugar, remaining 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and remaining 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, and apple pie seasoning. Mix well.

   Serve hot or cold.

   If apple sauce is too tart, add more brown sugar.
