Sour Cream Baked Beans

   Soak the navy beans overnight in water enough to cover them. Drain off water and add onion with 1 quart water.

   Cover and cook slowly for 1 hour.

   Add more water if necessary until tender, drain.

   In deep casserole dish, add beans, salt, molasses, mustard and sour cream.

   Mix well.

   Add salt pork with rind exposed.

   Pour enough boiling water to cover the beans.

   Cover and bake at 300u00b0 about 3 hours, adding water if it evaporates.

   Uncover the last hour to brown.
