1 c. boiling water
1 c. sugar
3 tsp. juice of lemon
20 oz. can crushed pineapple
3 pkg. Dream Whip
1 large angel food cake

Bake cake according to directions on box.

Soften gelatin in cold water.

Add boiling water.

Stir to dissolve.

Add sugar, lemon juice and undrained pineapple.

Chill until partially set, about 45 minutes.

Prepare 2 package of Dream Whip.

Fold into mixture.

Break cake into small pieces.

Place pieces of cake and gelatin mixture in alternate layers in a long sheet cake pan.

As you put layers together, take a spoon and press down.

Chill overnight.

Next day, prepare the other package of Dream Whip and spread over cake.

Sprinkle coconut on cake and add cherries, if you so desire.
