   Beat shortening, butter, sugar and eggs until fluffy.

   Sift together the flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture.

   Roll into balls approximately 1-inch in diameter.

   Roll the balls in a mixture of 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 400u00b0 for 10 minutes.
