Sly Pie

   In large bowl cream together shortening and sugar, add eggs slowly.

   in a separate bowl mix together flour, baking powder, and baking soda until well mixed.

   slowly add flour mixture to shortening mixture, mixing with spoon or hands until well blended and evenly moist.

   divide dough in half.

   press half of dough mixture in to a standard jelly roll or cookie sheet.

   add pie filling.

   place remaining dough on top of filling in pieces.

   brush dough with milk and sprinkle with sugar.

   bake @ 350u00b0 for 30 minutes.
