Slumgullion

   Put water on to cook macaroni.

   Saute onion in butter, margarine or cooking oil.

   When the onion is translucent, add hamburger and cook until brown, breaking it up.

   Cook macaroni. Add tomato paste, water, oregano, garlic salt and ground pepper to hamburger.

   Boil gently until most of the water has evaporated. When macaroni is done, drain and add to hamburger mixture. Ketchup can be added on top to sweeten.

   Serve with bread and a green salad.
