Skillet Cookies

   Melt oleo and dates.

   Cream sugar with egg yolks and add to oleo and dates.

   Cook in heavy skillet over low heat for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.

   Remove from heat.

   Add nuts, Rice Krispies and vanilla.

   Pour into an 8 x 8-inch pan.

   Butter pan and press firmly.

   It will be hot.

   Use back of spoon.

    Let set until cold.

    With buttered knife, cut into 1-inch squares and dust with powdered sugar.

    Freezes well.
