-
1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
-
2
You will want at least a 9x13 casserole dish.
-
3
You may have to adjust the cooking time depending on the depth of your dish.
-
4
I use a large oval Corning Ware dish that doesnt have great depth.
-
5
First melt the stick of butter in the microwave (time varies).
-
6
Place the chicken tenders in the casserole dish.
-
7
Season the chicken well with salt and pepper.
-
8
I also sometimes use Cavenders or Mrs.
-
9
Dash salt-free chicken seasoning (it will be bland if you skip this step!
-
10
).
-
11
Pour the melted butter over the chicken, covering well.
-
12
Sprinkle the cup of rice evenly.
-
13
Spread the cans of cream of chicken on top of the rice evenly.
-
14
Now pour on the milk.
-
15
(I sprinkle a little more pepper on top of the milk.)
-
16
Yes, it will look weird with that milk poured over the top, but something miraculous happens during the cooking process.
-
17
It all mixes together and becomes this gorgeous casserole that is perfect for potlucks.
