Simple Tomato Sauce – a delicious recipe with Garlic, Olive Oil, Tomatoes, Salt, Red Pepper, Fresh Basil. Easy to follow and perfect for any occasion.

Peel and chop one whole bulb of garlic.

Saute in olive oil for 30 seconds.

Open the cans of tomatoes and either snip them into pieces with scissors or squish them with your fingers.

Add tomatoes.

Add salt to taste, I love salt so I am fairly liberal with it.

Add red pepper flakes

Take a bunch of fresh basil, rip it up and add to the sauce.

Simmer for 15 minutes.

I like to cook the pasta a little al dente then finish it off by throwing it into the hot sauce and cook it for a few more minutes.

Then sometimes I dot the top with fresh mozzarella cheese.

Cover for a minute or two so the cheese becomes gooey.
