Simple Chocolate Pudding

   In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa powder, and cornstarch.

   Stir in milk. Then cook and stir mixture over medium heat until thickened and bubbly.

   Cook and stir for 2 more minutes.

   Remove from heat and gradually stir in 1 cup of milk mixture into egg yolks. Add egg mixture to the rest of milk mixture in pan.

   Bring mixture back to gentle boil, then reduce heat. Cook and stir for 2 more minutes. Remove from heat.

   Stir in butter and vanilla extract.Pour pudding into bowl and cover. Refrigerate to chill and firm pudding, about 2-3 hours, then serve.
