Shortcake Pastry

   Combine dry ingredients; add oil and milk, stirring until mixture forms a ball.

   Roll dough out on a lightly floured surface to 1/8-inch thickness; cut into rounds with a 2 1/2-inch biscuit cutter. Using a metal spatula, carefully lift rounds and place on a lightly greased baking sheet.

   Bake at 350u00b0 for 18 to 20 minutes or until rounds are lightly browned. (Pastry will be very fragile.) Cool on wire racks. Store in an airtight container, or freeze until needed.
