Shoo-Fly Pie

   To make the syrup, mix together the first 4 ingredients until they are dissolved.

   Use 1 cup or more of syrup per 9-inch pie shell.

   Then mix the remaining ingredients to crumb consistency. Pour the syrup into unbaked pie crusts and divide the crumbs over top.

   Bake them for 10 minutes at 450u00b0, for 30 minutes more at 375u00b0, then for 30 minutes longer at 350u00b0.
