1
Begin by preparing your pizza dough.
-
2
The recipe I use needs to be made in advance but you could also use a premade crust to make it even faster.
-
3
Heat a pizza stone in the oven at 500 degrees F. If you dont have a pizza stone, you can make your pizza on a baking sheet.
-
4
Dont worry about cutting off the ends of the asparagus.
-
5
Instead, use that part to hold on to as you draw the peeler away from you to create thin strips of asparagus.
-
6
There will be some thicker and some thinner strips.
-
7
Dont worry, just go for it!
-
8
Set the asparagus aside and heat about 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.
-
9
Add the garlic and stir until it begins to brown (this can happen fast so keep a close eye on it; burned garlic = bad!).
-
10
Add the goat cheese and stir until it melts.
-
11
My pizza had a very subtle goat cheese flavor so feel free to add more if you like.
-
12
Spread goat cheese mixture over the pizza crust.
-
13
Put asparagus strips in a large bowl and toss with proscuitto, the remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil, and salt and pepper.
-
14
Spread mixture over your pizza crust.
-
15
Bake at 500 degrees F for about 1012 minutes, until crust turns golden.
-
16
Cut into squares and enjoy!
