Sesame Cookies(Italian)

   Preheat oven to 350u00b0.

   Grease cookie sheets.

   Combine flour, baking powder and salt.

   Cream shortening.

   Gradually add sugar; beat until light and fluffy.

   Add eggs; beat until smooth.

   Beat in vanilla.

   Add the dry ingredients and beat well.

   (Dough should be stiff.)

    If necessary, add 2 more tablespoons of flour.

    Cover and refrigerate overnight.

    Divide into quarters and roll out (roll in the sesame seed) on floured board.

    (Roll as rope 1/2-inch diameter, cut in pieces about 1 to 2-inches long.)

    Bake 15 minutes until golden.
