Type scriptures on 1/2 x 3-inch paper for each cookie.

Have ready a straight- sided bowl to bend the cooked cookies over to shape them.

Put them in a muffin pan so they will hold their shape while they are cooling.

Stir together flour, cornstarch, sugar and salt.

Add in oil and egg whites; beat till smooth.

Beat in water and flavorings.

Drop batter by level Tbsp.

on a well-greased baking sheet and spread out proportionately with the back of a spoon into 4-inch circles.

Bake till light golden.

With a wide spatula, remove one cookie at a time.

Put scripture paper on cookie.

Quickly fold cookie in half, then bend cookie backwards over bowl to shape it.

Place bent cookie in muffin pan to retain its shape.
