Schweinbraten(Roast Pork)

   Sprinkle pork with onion salt, marjoram and pepper.

   Secure on spit; insert thermometer.

   Adjust spit about 8 inches from heat source, placing foil pan under pork to catch drippings.

   Roast 15 minutes or bake uncovered on rack at 350u00b0 until the thermometer registers 170u00b0 to 185u00b0 according to family taste.

   Allow 35 to 40 minutes per pound for roasting.

   Shortly before serving, combine in skillet the sauerkraut, thinly sliced apples, cider and butter. Cover and simmer 5 minutes or until apples are tender.

   Garnish with extra apple slices and parsley.

   Serve with pork.
