School Days Peanut Butter Cookies

   Mix together the shortening, sugar and peanut butter.

   Add flour and vanilla extract.

   Knead until dough will no longer adhere.

   Add boiling water; knead until dough is completely adhered, smooth and shiny.

   Make into balls; place 12 balls of dough onto cookie sheet.

   Press each cookie with a fork.

   Do not grease cookie sheet.

   Place into preheated oven and bake at 300u00b0 for approximately 20 minutes, or until light golden brown.

   Yields approximately 8 dozen cookies.

    Cool before removing from pan.
