Preheat the oven to 400u00b0F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Using a 2 1/2- to 3-inch heart-shaped cutter, cut out about 24 hearts. Mix together the cream cheese and milk, then fold in the parsley and chives. Put a dollop of cream cheese on half the hearts, leaving a small border at the edge. Brush the border with egg white, and top with the remaining hearts. Press the edges firmly and score with a fork. Beat the egg yolk with a little water and brush over the tops. Sprinkle the hearts with sesame seeds, caraway seeds and/or nuts, arrange on the baking sheet and bake for about 15 mins until golden and puffed.
