Saraosta's ... Favorite Creamy Rice and Peas

   Rice -- Use whatever method you want and whatever type of rice you want for this dish - that is not what is important.

   You want around 3 cups.

   A little more is fine, this isn't an exact recipe.

   Sauce -- As the rice cooks, heat up the cream, shallot, and cheese in a small bowl or measuring cup in the microwave for just 1 minute on medium heat.

   Finish -- Add the warm sauce to the cooked rice along with the fresh thyme, salt and pepper.

   Mix well to combine.

   If you want it a bit creamier, add more cream.

   NOTE: I just like to heat the cream first, just a few seconds in the microwave, so it is warm when I add it to the rice.

   Serve -- Garnish with a little cheese if you want and serve.

    It goes with just about anything.
