1 medium chicken
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 Tbsp. margarine
1 c. sliced mushrooms
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can tomato soup
2/3 c. beer
1 1/2 tsp. curry powder
1/2 tsp. oregano
dash of pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic powder or 1 clove fresh garlic
1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese

Saute onion in butter.

Add mushrooms.

Stir in soup, beer, curry powder, oregano, pepper and garlic.

Simmer 10 minutes, uncovered.

Put chicken in 2-quart baking dish.

Pour mixture over it.

Bake at 350u00b0 for 30 minutes, covered, then uncover for another 25 minutes, basting it.

Sprinkle Cheddar cheese on top for 5 more minutes until melted.
