1
(I used pork that was tied up with string.
-
2
If you use one that isn't tied, tie it yourself using string so that it keeps a nice shape.)
-
3
Preheat the oven to 160C.
-
4
Season with lots of salt and pepper.
-
5
Place the ingredients into a heat-resistant container or pot.
-
6
Cover with aluminum foil and place in an oven preheated to 325F (160C).
-
7
Bake for 2 1/2 - 3 hours.
-
8
This what it will look like midway through.
-
9
You don't need to ladle the juices over the meat.
-
10
(20 minutes before it's done baking) Measure out the honey and add 100 g to a pot.
-
11
I recommend using a deep pot for this.
-
12
Turn the heat to medium.
-
13
Add 2 tablespoons of water and mix.
-
14
Measure out the * ingredients.
-
15
After 7-8 minutes the glaze will be a caramel color...
-
16
Add the prepared ingredients from Step 6.
-
17
Add the ingredients and lower the heat to medium-low.
-
18
Add the roasted ham and the strained meat juices and bring to a simmer.
-
19
Turn the ham and let it simmer.
-
20
Repeat these two steps, watching carefully.
-
21
This should take about 20 minutes (adjust the heat so that it doesn't boil over).
-
22
Once the entire ham is glazed, it's done.
-
23
Cut the string with scissors and serve.
