   Mix sugar and margarine well.

   Add eggs, flour and cream of tartar; mix well.

   Then stir in pecans, candied fruit and cherries.

   Roll in a long roll.

   Wrap and chill overnight.

   Slice about 1/8-inch thick.

   Bake on greased cookie sheet at 375u00b0 for 6 to 8 minutes.
