Raisin Hermits

   Cream butter.

   Add sugar and mix well.

   Add beaten eggs and then soda dissolved in hot water.

   Sift flour, measure and sift again.

   (Reserve a little of the flour, you may not need it all.) Add cinnamon, raisins and nuts to flour and combine mixtures. Drop and bake in moderate oven (350u00b0) for 10 to 12 minutes.

   Try one cookie first and add more flour if necessary.
