   Preheat oven to 350u00b0.

   In medium skillet, brown ground beef and onion; drain.

   Stir in salsa, tomato paste and cumin.

   Mix into ground beef mixture. Mix together well.

   Press meat mixture into buttered 9-inch baking dish.

   Prepare corn muffin mix according to package directions; stir in cheese.

   Spoon over meat mixture.

   Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until topping is cooked through and lightly browned.
