Puff Pastry Herbed Breadsticks

   Preheat oven to 425 F. Line a baking sheet with a 10 x 12 piece pf parchment paper.

   On a floured surface roll out a sheet of chilled puff pastry to about 10 x 12 inches.

   In a small bowl mix the cheese and herbs together.

   Using a pastry brush, brush the surface of the dough with the beaten egg.

   Now sprinkle your cheese mix evenly on top of the dough.

   Cut the dough into strips that are 1 inch wide by 12 inches long.

   Gently twist each strip 9 or 10 times to form a straw like tube.

   The herbs should be twisted to the inside of the bread stick.

   Place each stick on the prepared baking sheet.

    Sprinkle sticks with additional cheese if you like.

    Place in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

    About halfway through the cooking process be sure flip the breadsticks for even browning.

    Your breadsticks should be crisp, solid and golden when you remove them from the oven.

    Cool on a wire rack.
