Popcorn Ala Poppycock

   Combine butter, sugar, corn syrup and salt in a heavy saucepan.

   Bring to boil, stirring constantly.

   Boil without stirring for 5 minutes.

   Stir in vanilla and baking soda.

   Pour over popcorn and nuts.

   Stir until well coated.

   Pour into baking pan and bake in a 250u00b0 oven until dry, stirring every 20 minutes. Should take 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
