5 ounces frozen artichoke hearts, thawed and quartered
1/8 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 garlic clove, minced
1/4 lb gorgonzola
1/4 cup heavy cream, plus
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1 pinch onion powder, a tiny pinch
1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes, a pinch
fresh ground black pepper, to taste
6 ounces penne pasta
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, minced
toasted pine nuts, for garnish

Boil water for pasta and cook according to package directions, reserving some of cooking water when draining.
