   set oven at 180*c ,350*f .

   cream butter until soft ,then gradually beat in sugar and continue to beat until light and fluffy .

   add egg ,peanut butter ,salt and bicarbonate of soda and mix well .

   add vanilla essence to mixture and blend in flour .

   roll mixture into balls and place on lightly greased baking sheet .

   flatten with floured fork .

   bake for 10-12 minutes , until lightly golden .

   cool no wire sack .
