1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. milk
candy kisses
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift together flour, soda and salt and set aside.

Cream together peanut butter and shortening and blend well.

Add sugar, brown sugar, egg, milk and vanilla and blend well.

Blend in dry ingredients.

Using 1 teaspoon of dough, roll into a ball, roll in granulated sugar and place on a cookie sheet.

Bake at 375u00b0 for 6 minutes, remove and press a candy kiss in center of each cookie. Return to oven for 2 minutes (no more).

Remove and place on tray to cool.

Repeat with rest of dough.
