Pasta And Meatball Bake

   Preheat the oven to 180 Celsius.

   Prepare the pasta, following the directions on the package, to al dente. Set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of the cooking liquid.

   Mix the beef, basil, 1/2 cup onion, bread crumbs, parmesan, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper together in a large bowl.

   Form the beef mixture into balls and fry in a large skillet spritzed with cooking spray until golden brown on all sides. Remove from skillet and set aside.

   Saute the onion and green pepper together until the onion becomes transparent. Add the tomato and white wine. Add a little of the reserved cooking liquid if necessary. Let simmer for 4 minutes. Add salt and pepper if needed.

   Stir the pasta into the sauce and mix. Add the meatballs and mix.

   Place the pasta and meatballs into a large baking dish and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Bake for 20 minutes. Serve.
