Cut the avocado in half lengthwise and remove the pit and skin.

Make the caramel.

Heat the butter in a frying pan.

Add the granulated sugar when most of the butter has melted.

Stir the mixture and make it even when it starts to brown around the edges.

Place the avocado cut side down in the pan.

Cook over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes.

Turn off the heat.

Place the avocado cut side up and serve on a plate.
