Oven Fried Chicken

   Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

   In a small bowl, combine butter, mustard, leaf herb and salt.

   Mix well.

   Wash chicken pieces and set aside.

   Dry the skin side with paper towels.

    Spread butter mixture on the skin side of the chicken pieces.

    On a piece of waxed paper, spread out bread crumbs and roll chicken in the crumb mixture.

    Pat crumbs gently onto all sides of chicken.

    Place chicken, skin side up, in a baking pan.

    Bake in the preheated oven for time indicated below:

    For a broiler, cut up: 50 to 55 minutes For breasts: 50 to 55 minutes For drumsticks or thighs: 45 to 50 minutes For chicken wings: 35 to 40 minutes

    When done, chicken should be brown and tender.
