1/2 tsp. salt
1 lb. orange slice candy, cut up
2 c. chopped walnuts
1 (8 oz.) pkg. chopped dates
1 (3 1/2 oz.) can coconut
1 c. oleo, softened
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 c. orange juice
2 c. sifted powdered sugar

Combine flour and salt; set aside.

In a large bowl, combine candy, dates, walnuts and coconut.

Add 1/2 cup of flour mixture and mix well.

In another bowl, cream butter until light. Gradually add sugar.

Add eggs one at a time; beat well.

Combine soda and buttermilk.

Add remaining flour mixture alternately with buttermilk, blending well.
